Would glue ons work? How do I minimize peripheral loading? Not happy about having to do that, but I don't think there's much choice. I'm thinking of continuing that through the quarters, since there's some disconnection there too. I have her hoof wall mostly passive at the toe and around the sides. What kind of surface do I need to have to do apply glue on shoes? Hence me thinking about composite shoes for her. I have a pair of EasyBoot Epics for her, but they seem to put too much pressure on her heels for her to be totally comfy in them. She's fairly comfortable on 3/8" granite footing, but she's definitely favoring her heels and landing toe first most of the time. No thrush, though, so at least there's that. Poor thing has the hoof pain trifecta: laminitis, distal descent and caudal hoof pain. ![]() I'm trying to figure out the best option to help my pony be more comfortable while she recovers.
